APPLICATION

OF
8051 MICROCONTROLLER
These all are major applications of 8051 Microcontroller:

1. Light sensing and controlling devices.

2. Temperature sensing and controlling

devices.

3. Fire detections and safety devices.

4. Automobile applications

5. Defence applications.
1. Light sensing and controlling devices.

 A Light Sensor generates an output signal indicating the

intensity of light by measuring the radiant energy that exists in
a very narrow range of frequencies basically called “light”, and
which ranges in frequency from “Infra-red” to “Visible” up to
“Ultraviolet” light spectrum.

 The light sensor is a passive devices that convert this “light

energy” whether visible or in the infra-red parts of the spectrum
into an electrical signal output. Light sensors are more
commonly known as “Photoelectric Devices” or “Photo
Sensors” because the convert light energy (photons) into
electricity (electrons).
2. Temperature sensing and controlling devices.

 The static relays (single-phase or three-

phase) of the Revo S Family are designed to
last longer thanks to heat sinks inside the
thyristor unit of the right size; They can be
connected to the Revo PC system for multi-
zone management, reducing to a minimum
the energy costs.
3. Fire detections and safety devices.

 Fire detectors sense one or more of the products or

phenomena resulting from fire, such as smoke, heat, infrared
and/or ultraviolet light radiation, or gas.

 In dwellings, smoke detectors are often stand-alone devices.

In non-domestic buildings, fire detection will typically take the
form of a fire alarm system, incorporating one or more of the
following automatic devices:
Heat detector
Smoke detector
Flame detector
Fire gas detector
4. Automobile applications

 Electric and Plug-in hybrid electric power train is an expanding

technology in the contemporary automotive industry. The concept
of the electric vehicle has been deliberated by automakers since
the early 20th century; however, the technology hasn't developed
significantly enough to be considered a conventional means of
transportation, with the exception of golf carts, airport
transportation trolleys and similar applications.

 These vehicles have emerged as a substitute for mainstream

transportation and as a potential solution to address climatic
changes, reducing the Green House Gas Emission (GHGE) with
nominal dependency on fossil fuels
5. Defence applications.

 Defense-in-depth user protection involves a combination of

security offerings (e.g., WAF, antivirus, antispam software,
etc.) ... For example, packaging together antivirus, firewall, anti-
spam and privacy controls. As a result, the user's network is
secured against malware, web application attacks (e.g., XSS,
CSRF).
