At the end of the lesson, I’m expecting you

A.Identify the peripheral devices of
computer.
B. Describe the function of each peripheral.
C. Demonstrate ways of keeping the
peripheral properly.
1. MONITOR
- is an output device which displays information in
pictorial form.
2. KEYBOARD
- It is one of the most important peripherals of a
computer which is used to enter command, text,
numerical data and other types of data by pressing the
keys on the keyboard.
3. MOUSE
- is a handheld pointing device used to position a
cursor on a computer screen. This allows the user
select items stored on a computer and, subsequently,
perform actions on those items.
4. SPEAKER
- is a hardware device that connects to computer to
generate sound.
5. PRINTER
- is a device that accepts text and graphic output
from a computer and transfer the information to
paper, usually to standard size sheets of paper.
6. SYSTEM UNIT
- the main part of a microcomputer, sometimes called the chassis. It includes the following parts: Motherboard,
Microprocessor, Memory Chips, Buses, Ports, Expansion slots and cards.
