What is Knitting
Knitting is the method of creating fabric by transforming continuous strands
of yarn into a series of interlocking loops, each row of such loops hanging
from the one immediately preceding it.

Double Jersey Circular Knitting Machine

In a dial cylinder rib machine there is one


set of needles on the circumference of
the vertical cylinder and another set of
needles on a horizontal dial. So two sets
of needles remain at the right angle with
each other. In dial cylinder machines the
dial and cylinder rotates but the cam
systems with the feeders remain
stationary
Fabric inspection systems

Fabrics have certain desirable characteristics depending on end-use. Various defects in the
fabric either mar the appearance or adversely affect some of these desired characteristics.
Thus fabric produced must be inspected before releasing it for dispatch so that proper
quality goods reach the customers.

Inspection
Inspection in reference to the apparel industry can be defined as the visual examination or
review of raw materials (like fabric, sewing threads, buttons, trims, etc), partially finished
components of the garments and completely finished garments in relation to some
standards.

Purpose of Inspection
Fabric inspection, mapping or marking defects is important prior to spreading and cutting

Future of Knitting industry in Bangladesh
Bangladesh has a historical reputation in production of textile products in addition to famous Dhakai Muslin.
From that time, in rural communities both men and women are involved in weaving. Artisans were also
involved in hand knitting specially making sweaters. These skills and disciplines in sewing and weaving are
passed down through generations and quickly transferred to production line in knitwear factories.
These three machines are primarily used to produce weft knitted
fabric. We get finer & coarser fabric from those machines that
fulfill buyers' demands. The quality is also maintained by this
machine.
