Differential equations are used in many cases, the
simulation modeling software does the work of transforming your model and solving the equations. Differential equation is also greatly used in game development. IN REAL LIFE CREATING GAMES AND SOFTWARE For Instance to you a prey-predator video game is presented. In this video game two predators chase a prey that tries to avoid the capture by the predators and to reach a location in space (i.e. its “home”). The prey is animated by a human player (using a joypad), the predators are
automated players whose behavior is decided by the video game
engine. The purpose of the video game is to show how to use mathematical models to build a simple prey-predator dynamics representing a physical system where the movements of the game actors satisfy ODE and the behavior of the automated players simulates a simple form of intelligence. The game is based on a simple set of Higher order ordinary differential equations. These differential equations are used in classical mechanics to describe the dynamics of a set of point masses subject to a force chosen by the human player. IN REAL LIFE MOTHER NATURE Differential Equation is an essential tool for describing the nature of the physical universe .It have an remarkable ability to predict the world around us, they are used in wide variety of disciplines like predicting the weather, glacier melting, cosmology , wildfire modeling and many more. IN REAL LIFE ROBOTICS Differential equations helps to provide shape, interior and exterior design of machine. ODEs are ubiquitous in robotics. Robotic system dynamics are described by ODEs, and control laws are formulated in terms of those ODEs. To call yourself a roboticist you absolutely have to be comfortable with IN REAL LIFE ROCKETS AND SATELLITES In space the motion of rockets and satellites is still governed by gravity. In order for space shuttles to meet up with the ISS GPS and television satellites to be in the right place at the right time and for lunar modules to be able to land on the moon we need higher order differential equations. IN engineering MECHANICAL VIBRATIONS The study of motion of objects and the effect of forces acting on those objects. You know Suspension bridges are elegant bridges that span distances between 300 and 2300 meters. Their flexibility and low deadweight are great for engineering. Suspension bridges are actually quite flexible to prevent buckling. This flexibility causes also means these bridges are susceptible to resonance. Resonance is a phenomenon modelled using second-order differential equations. IN engineering SIMPLE HARMONIC MOTION Consider a mass suspended from a spring attached to a rigid support. (This is commonly called a spring-mass system.) Gravity is pulling the mass downward and the restoring force of the spring is pulling the mass upward. When these two forces are equal, the mass is said to be at the equilibrium position. If the mass is displaced from equilibrium, it oscillates up and down. This behavior can be modeled by a second-order constant-coefficient differential equation. IN engineering POPULATION DYNAMICS Population dynamics studies the changes in size and composition of populations through time . In this study, we provide a mathematical framework for ODE model analysis and an outline of the historical context surrounding mathematical population modeling. For the past few centuries, ordinary differential equations (ODEs) have served well as models of both single-species and multispecies population dynamics. IN MEDICAL TERMS In medicine for modelling cancer growth in human body or the spread of disease, ODE is used. Also differential equations are used to model biological processes on various levels ranging from DNA molecules or biosynthesis on the cellular level. Moreover, ODE is also used in neuroscience. CONCLUSION With their broad and advance uses, no wonder why some people found it difficult. However, with their remarkable ability, people spend their time and effort analyzing and describing their behaviors. Some people spend their youths exploring and mastering its concepts and digging dipper on it, exploring its mysteries. It is indeed challenging and worthwhile knowing its characteristics and behaviors, playing a major role in our environment, that’s why everyone of us should appreciate them.
