Our properties are part of self
McClelland (1951): the physical
properties that we own (clothes,
gadget, parts of our body such
as hair, nails etc.) are part of self
and we have the power over
them. The more control we have
over them the more it becomes
part of who we are.
THE EXTENSION OF SELF
Shampoo, soap, perfume,
lotion and other cosmetics
Jewelries, accessories
According to
Prelinger, the things
that we own also
own us.
According to Belk, the
lost of our possession
whether accidental or
deliberately lost for
whatever reason,
means the lost of self
as well.
Returning the lost
possession is
returning the lost
self.

Biological factors such as the
presence of androgens,
estrogens and progesterone,
prime people for sex.
People’s sexual responses
follow a regular pattern
consisting of four phases:
excitement, plateau, orgasm
and resolution.
Relate
Patterns of sexual
behavior, both heterosexual
and homosexual, vary
around the world in terms of
both behavior and risks
(Barlow & Durand, 2013).
Approximately 20% of
individuals who have been
surveyed engage in sex
with numerous partners,
putting them at risk for
sexually transmitted
diseases such as AIDS
(Barlow & Durand, 2013).
BEAUTY
