The Sudetenland, 1938 It was German populated area and wanted to be with Germany. First Hitler captured this area and then invaded Czechoslovakia. Hitler next target was likely to b Poland –strip of former German Land in Poland known as Polish Corridor. Britain and France told Hitler if he invaded Poland they would declare war on Germany. Non-Aggression Pact- signed b/w USSR and Germany on 24th August 1939 agreed not to attack one another, also known as Nazi-Soviet Pact. Plus divide Poland b/w them Invasion of Poland On 1 September 1939 German army invaded Poland from the Wes. On 17 September Soviet forces invaded Poland from East. Britain and France did keep their pledge. On 2nd September they declare war on Germany. How did the war become a World War Pearl Harbor Attack- Japan wanted to create its empire in Asia, so it can be control the resources in Asia. First she invaded China and then tried to build its supremacy in Pacific Ocean by attacking US navy fleets on Pearl Harbor on 7 December, 1941.
