usually taken out separately under different items, and quantities are
calculated in Cu.m
Concrete in Foundation:- The Concrete is taken out in Cu.m by length
x breadth x thickness.
Damp Proof Course :- D.P.C usually of 2.5 cm (1’’) thick rich cement
concrete 1:11/2:3 or 2 cm thick cement mortar 1:2 mixed with standard
water proofing material is provided at the plinth level to full width of
plinth wall and the quantity are computed in Sq.m.
Masonary :-Masonary is computed in Cu.m (Length x Breadth x Height)
Deduction for Opening,Bearings etc, in Masonary
No deduction is made for the following
(i) Opening each upto 1000 sq cm or 0.1 sq m
(ii) Ends of beams ,posts rafter, purlin etc. Up to 500 sq cm or 0.5 sq m
(III) Bed plate,wall, bearing of chajja and thelike upto
10 cm depth.
Bearing of floor and roof slabs are notdeducatedmfrom wall
masonary.
R C C & RB work:- R C C & RB work may be in roof or floor slab,in
beams, lintels, column etc. and the quantities are calculated in Cu. m
Plastering:- Plastering usually 12 mm thick is calculated in sq m.
