Adobe Illustrator Main Elements

The Illustrator workspace consists of


everything in the window when
illustrator is first opened. Each part of
the workspace performs important
function in working with document/s.

The Control Panel

The control panel, located below the


application bar, offers quick access to
options related to the object selected.
Options displayed in the control panel
depend on the type of object or tool
selected.
The Tools Panel

The Tools in the tools panel are used to


create, select, and manipulate objects.
These include tools used to type and
select, paint, draw, sample, edit, and
move images.
The Tools Panel

Some also have hidden tools beneath


them. These can be shown or expanded
by clicking the small triangle at the lower
right corner of the tool.
The Panel

At the right side of the panel rests the


icons of the panels. Panels can be grouped,
stacked, or docked. With CS6, panels are
represented by icons to avoid cluttering
panels on the workspace. The panel can be
accessed by a simple click on the panel
icon.
