Pre-requisites for the WebRTC connection through Internet/Laptop

   Browser
Chrome Version: Version 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) . For Laptop use Chrome browser , to join on Ipad use safari browser
   Java
Java version "1.8.0_231"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_231-b11

 The executable files of the required version of Chrome Browser and Java are uploaded on our network website (English Page: URL:
http://10.240.3.104/netweb/downloads.html).

 Internet Connection.
A good quality Internet connection is required for a good user experience .The laptop is not to be connected to our internal network, but
will be connected to the Internet using a Dongle or mobile data tethering.
Webrtc Joining Guidelines (Laptop):

• You can copy paste the link communicated to you through prior meeting/web conference invitation in
specified browser - “Chrome” E.g.

• If it doesn’t work please open https://webrtc.vc.licindia.in in Chrome and enter the meeting ID. Passcode is
not required. Enter Name and click on “Join Meeting”.
• Cisco meeting app window will open as shown below, where you can see the “Meeting name”.
• Enter “Your Name”. – Recommended to enter Full Name. It is not expected to join meeting by any random name like city
name or office location name. It is useful for tracking purpose.
• Click on Join meeting.
• Please select inputs such as “Camera” and “Microphone”. You can test the speaker connectivity by clicking on “Test
Speakers” as shown in Figure2.
• Note: It is recommended to select Default Camera and Microphones. If any of them does not work select appropriate
inputs from Dropdown e.g. JBL, Jabra etc
• Click on “Join Meeting”
• Once you join you can see page as shown below.
• You can mute or unmute yourself using “Mic” Option as shown below. If the Mic icon is RED, mic is mute; If it is GREY (as
shown in below image) the mic is unmute.
• You can see the participants list by clicking on “Participants” icon on right hand side as shown below.
• There is option for “Meeting control” as shown below.
• You can mute and unmute the participants.
• There is “Chat” option as shown below which can be used to chat with other attendees.
• You can change the Layout by clicking on “Layout” option on right hand side as shown below.
• There are different layouts such as “all Equal”, “Speaker Large” etc…
• If there is Presentation shared, you can select “Presentation” option where you can only see presentation on screen.
Participants view will be hidden .
• You can share your screen by clicking on “Share” option as shown below.
Other Notes:

• It is recommended to join the meeting using Single Device such as Laptop or Mobile. In case, because of some reason,
one has joined meeting on multiple devices, say a laptop & a smart phone, in same room, keep mic of one of the devices
on mute, otherwise it will result in echo.
• When others are speaking, keep yourself on “Mute” to avoid disturbance.
WebRTC joining Guidelines (Mobile):

• Open the WebRTC link in Google Chrome for android phones and in Safari for iPhones.
• Enter your “Name”.
• Click on Join meeting.
• Select Inputs such as “Camera” as shown in Figure 8. It should be “default” camera. If any of them does not work, select
appropriate inputs from Dropdown.
• Select “Microphone” as shown below can test the Speakers by clicking on “Test Speakers”.
• Click on “Join Meeting”. After Entering the meeting, you can see below.
