1) 34 out of 58 students in Grade 9 failed Science in the second quarter of SY 2016-2017. 2) The team implemented strategic intervention materials and reinforcers in the classroom to help students better understand difficult topics. 3) After implementing these supplementary materials, all 34 students who previously failed passed Science in the fourth quarter and were able to enroll in Grade 10.

Conclusion
After the implementation of the
Strategic Intervention Material(SIM)
and reinforcers in the classroom, all
34 students passed in the 4 th

quarter in the Science subject and


were able to enrol in Grade 10.
Recommendations
We recommend the following:

• Roll out the supplementary materials to all sections


• Before the BOSY, the teachers should create other
supplementary materials for the topics with least
mastered skills in Q1 to Q4
