* Operation procedure
New Function ① The smart key ECU operates the door
■ Welcome light (Approaches the vehicle) handle antenna (LF transmission) at 240
ms intervals to find a smart key.
② A user with a smart key approaches the
vehicle.
Passenger Seat ③ The smart key receives the antenna signal
(LF reception) and transmits it to the
receiver (SRx).
④ The receiver (SRx) transmits the received
signal to the smart key ECU.
⑤ After the smart key ECU receives the data
via the receiver (SRx), it is woken and
transmits the pocket lamp light ON
command to the BCM. According to the
command, the BCM switches the pocket
lamp on for 15 seconds.
Driver's Seat
⑥ If the user presses the door handle
lock/unlock button, it operates the LF
antenna. If the smart key is an
authenticated one, it transmits the unlock
command.
⑦ The welcome light feature ends with the
unlock command.

New Function
■ Welcome light (Leaves the vehicle)
• Operation procedure
① A user with a smart key operates the
passive lock or remote lock to put the
vehicle to enter the alarm state.
Passenger Seat
② The smart key ECU checks if there is a
smart key in the vehicle using the
deactivation feature.
③ The smart key ECU checks if the driver
with the smart key left the vehicle by
operating the LF antenna in the outside
handle at 3 s intervals.
④ If it cannot find the smart key 3 times
consecutively after the driver left the
vehicle and it is certain that the driver is
Driver's Seat not around the vehicle,
⑤ It stops to find the smart key at 3 s
intervals, and enters the welcome light
ready mode, wherein the LF antenna
transmits signals at 240 ms intervals.

Twice ignition
 It is for starting at virgin condition
 All related parts are virgin condition (Smart key, Smart key ECM, PDM, ESCL ECM)
 ESCL is always unlock at virgin
 When virgin smart key is inserted in smart key holder, possible to start, IG ON and ACC position

 After inserting virgin smart key to holder, push start button once.
- PDM perform twice ignition automatically → If ECM is virgin, possible to twice ignition
