• Notes help you:
– Concentrate in class.
– Prepare for tests because written information is more
easily remembered.
– Organize your thoughts
– Know what information the instructor thinks most
important.
• Your notes often contain information that cannot
be found elsewhere (i.e. in your textbook).

minute. The average note-taker writes about 25
wpm.
• DONT WRITE DOWN EVERY WORD!
SIMPLIFY!
• Main points in words and phrases, not sentences.
• Don’t be concerned with spelling and grammar.
• Always copy the whole definition for vocab.

• Take notes like you text!!!
