Leader
Desire

 The motivation to succeed comes from


burning desire to achieve a purpose

 Napoleon Hill wrote, “Whatever the


mind of man can conceive and believe,
the mind can achieve”.
Responsibility

 George Gritter wrote, “A duty which


becomes a desire will ultimately
become delight”

 People who accept responsibility will


make decisions and determine their
own destiny in life.
Hard Work

 Success is not something that comes


by accident

 No substitute for hard work

 Henry Ford said “The harder your


work, the luckier you get”.
Qualities of hard working people

 Can work without supervision


 Are punctual and considerate
 Carry out instructions accurately
 Tell the truth
 Are result oriented rather than task
oriented
 Are cheerful and courteous
Positive Thinking

 Positive thinking helps you use your


abilities to the fullest.

 Positive thinking is attitude of


confidence that comes from
preparation.
How one can build positive
attitude?
 Be so strong that nothing can disturb
your peace of mind
 Talk health, happiness, and
prosperity to every person you meet
 Make all your friends feel that you
appreciate their good qualities and
strengths
 Think only of the best, work only for
the best, and expect only the best
Persistence

o The Journey to being your best is not


easy. It is full of setback.
o Leaders have the ability to overcome
and bounce back with even greater
resolve.
o Persistence is a commitment to finish
what you start.
Pride of Performance

 Half hearted effort does not produce


half results: it produces no results.

 Excellence comes when performer takes


pride in doing is best.
Commitment

 Integrity and wisdom are the two


pillars on which to build and keep
commitments.

 Winners condition and commit


themselves to winning.
Give more than you get
 If you want to get ahead in life, go extra
mile
 It gives more confidence
 People start looking at you as a leader
 Others start trusting you
 Superiors start respecting you
 It generates cooperation
 It produces pride and satisfaction
Character

 Character is sum total of a person’s


values, beliefs and personality
 It is reflected in our behavior and in
actions
 In any profession, a successful person
will be envied by those who are not
successful
