Simple past – Past of verb tobe
Vocabulary
There are 2 kind of verbs regular and irregular, and to make a past
sentence you need to know the past of the verb and if it is regular or
irregular
The majority of the verbs are
regular and here you can find the
rules to add “ed” to the verb.
IRREGULAR VERBS

• However, there are some verbs that are irregular and they do not follow
the rules above.

• As you can see, there are some verbs which keep their form in present
past and participle, so we only will know the tense of the phrase
because of the context.
STRUCTURE
Affirmative: Subject + verb (past) + complement.

• Negative:
Subject + auxiliar DID (not) didn’t + verb (infinitive) + complement.
