PMP Exam Cost Component : Exam Fee
Exam fee to be paid to PMI is another component of PMP Exam Cost. You will pay $555 if
you are not having PMI membership. Are you a PMI member, then you need to pay $405.
PMP Exam Cost Component : with PMI Membership Fee
To become a member, you pay the membership fee of $139 for the one-year subscription. In
the PMP Exam Cost, the exam fee is the component where there is no change wherever you
are located. You save about $10 if you are a member.
PMP certification exam contains 200 multiple choice questions. 25 of these questions are
for monitoring and quality control purposes. They are not scored and do not affect your
PMP exam result. However, these 25 questions come randomly during the exam.

Current PMP exam content focuses on the stages of a project lifecycle as domain and on each

New PMP Exam Content Outline
While the current PMP exam content focuses on five domains as the stages of the project lifecycle,
new PMP exam content will be based on three domains:

3.Business Environment
•People: current PMP course may have limited content to address this new domain. If there is
content it would be woven throughout the PMP course. 42% of the exam questions will be based
upon this domain.
•Process: current PMP training materials may have a fair amount of content to address this new
domain as this was the bulk of the exam previously. 50% of the exam will be based upon this
domain.
•Business Environment: current PMP training programs may have very limited content to address
this new domain. If there is content it would be woven in small threads throughout your course. 8%
of the exam questions will be based upon this domain.
