INFORMATION
The controller is equipped with a power saving function that causes the screen
to go blank after a period of inactivity. To make the screen light up again, press
one of the buttons.

Operation
The controller allows for making field settings related to the indoor
unit, and to the controller itself.
1. Modes ("Mode"),
2. Units ("Unit"),

The field settings menus have two levels. You set modes and
units in the first level, and settings and values in the second.

Remote controller field settings
Remote controller field setting R1-11 allows for the status indicator to be
set to a mode suitable for use in hotels. According to the value that is set
for this setting, the status indicator has the following behaviour:
The indoor unit is released from its masterhood. The controllers of all indoor
units display a blinking "changeover under centralised control“ icon.
Group address
To control the system with central control equipment, you need to
set addresses for:
• Groups ("Group") and/or
• Units ("Group(Unit)").
The Group address and Airnet address menu has two levels. You
define groups and/or units in the first level, and set or release
addresses for those groups and/or units in the second.

AirNet address
To connect the system to the AirNet monitoring and diagnostics
system, you need to set AirNet addresses for:
• Indoor units ("I/U")
• Outdoor units ("O/U")

External input interlock allows for the integration of key card and
window contact logic into the system.
• it is not possible to connect a second (slave) controller, and
• the schedule function will be disabled for as long the adapter is
connected to the indoor unit.

When the value for a parameter is "- -", this means that when the timers expires,

nothing changes for that parameter and the current active value is kept.
Key Card logic:
< B2 Delay Timer Unit keeps operating until Delay Timer ends.
> Delay + Reset Timer Unit starts according to the reset conditions.
Result: The fan of the indoor unit that corresponds to the selected
indoor unit number starts operating.

06 Software Update
Remote controller software
update
Updater Prerequisite:
a) PC USB cable EKPCCAB4 or higher (includes a USB cable and additional
connection cables)
b) PC with Updater (download last version from the Daikin Business portal)
When the system is in error and the controller presents you with
an error screen from as soon as you try to enter the main menu,
follow the corresponding troubleshooting procedure of indoor and
or outdoor unit’s service manual.

App requires Bluetooth Connection.
If Bluetooth is disabled or App is
encountering Bluetooth issues:
• Enable Bluetooth if it’s disabled
• Disable and enable again to refresh if 3
App addresses that it’s off even it is
on.

Pairing
The pairing between the Madoka Assistant and Madoka is based on numeric
comparison:
On Bluetooth menu, the pairing may be shown. Access Bluetooth menu to check
communication. If all is set, Bluetooth icon and smart phone icon with communication arrows
are displayed.

To solve the issue, go to Bluetooth connection screen on your smart phone and make the phone
to forget this connection. Close Madoka app and re-start it. Make sure Bluetooth feature is ON
for remocon. When pairing, this time, remocon will generate access code and display to accept.
In the mean time, click pair on your smart phone.
If Bluetooth feature is not enabled on BRC1H, a Bluetooth icon will not be displayed on home screen.
Bluetooth sub menu on remocon will indicate the feature is OFF.
App will not discover BRC1H.
If Bluetooth feature is disabled during an active Bluetooth connection. App will generate connection error.
Turn on Bluetooth feature through submenu on Remocon.

App – Home Screen
All available connections and previous connections are displayed on home screen.
Maximum limit is 10 for historical units. When connection count is more than 10,
oldest historical connection will be overwritten.
When Menu icon is clicked on top left, below screen will be accessed.
Demo Mode is provided to explore app features without a real BRC1H connection. Demo mode also equips a demo
firmware update simulation, which does not actually update firmware. For real features and connections, you should exit
demo mode.
Whenever a firmware update is available, you will be prompted to apply update. During the procedure BRC1H, cellular
data for app or Wifi, Bluetooth connection between the app and BRC1H should be active.
When multiple BRC Connections are available, to define which connection belongs to which BRC1H, “Test Connection”
feature may be used. When “Test Connection” button is clicked, connected BRC1H Daikin Eye will blink a few times
confirming the Connection is OK and also commanding unit from the app is paired to that BRC1H.

Status Indicator is the Daikin Eye: light ring around the remocon.
Mode: Status Indicator’s Mode Setting. This is a read only value for
Field Setting Mode:R1, SW:11. You cannot change this value with App.
You may change the intensity of status indicator light via app.

You may set the date and the time for BRC1H remocon via app. You
3 may either choose to synchronize with device to use smart phone’s
date and time to set to BRC1H or set them manually.

You may limit maximum Cooling Set Point and/or minimum Heating Set
Point while Presence Sensor is Enabled. In this example cooling set point
may not rise more then 27 ˚C even if the calculated set point is more
than 27 ˚C. Similarly, heating set point may not drop below 20 ˚C even if

Unit may be set to switch OFF, if presence sensor does not detect any
presence in the room for a set amount of time. The feature may be
enabled/disabled through this menu. Presence Detection feature itself may
be disabled if both Setpoint adjustment and Auto OFF settings are disabled
together.

Select the corresponding air outlet (5) and select the desired airflow direction (6). Repeat the setting for all desired air outlets and then click (7) Save. (8)
You may also select all outlets at once (9) and select the same airflow direction for all outlets, and save (10). You may cancel anytime.
Please refer to installation manual of indoor unit for possibilities of air flow direction.

menu. This setting effects BOTH the remocon and the app interface.

Error History may be accessed through this menu. When display for errors and warnings are disabled, they will stop appearing at main screen notification area for 48 hours.

When Filter clean feature is enabled, unit cleans the filter once a day according to the timespan selected. Effective timespan is 00:00 to 24:00 in steps of 3 hours. When

Please refer to manuals of each indoor unit. These settings may vary
depending on the type of indoor unit.

Field Settings may be active on only one interface. If field settings menu is
active on App, then it will not be accessible by remocon. If field settings menu
is active on remocon, then it will not be accessible on the app.
