Types of Educational Planning

Educational planning involves setting objectives, determining actions to achieve those objectives, implementing the plan, and monitoring/evaluating results. It implies making decisions for the future use of scarce resources to achieve predetermined educational goals. The process sets out strategies, policies, and standards to achieve educational objectives. There are different types of educational planning based on time span (short, middle, long term), level (micro, macro, grassroots), people involved (individual, institutional, group), and nature (basic, master, standing).
