Quadrilaterals: A Powerpoint Presentation FROM:-Aditya Pratap Singh

This PowerPoint presentation defines and compares different types of quadrilaterals. It begins with an introduction and acknowledgements. It then defines a quadrilateral as a closed figure with four straight sides. The main types of quadrilaterals are defined as square, rectangle, trapezium, parallelogram, and rhombus. Each type is then described in more detail, outlining their defining properties such as side lengths, angle measures, and relationships between diagonals. The conclusion states that the goal is to understand and identify the different quadrilaterals and their properties. Sources consulted are also acknowledged.

UNDERSTANDING
QUADRILATERALS
In my PowerPoint presentation . I
Aditya is going to share some
knowledge about quadrilaterals .
Acknowledgement
I wish to express my sincere gratitude for presenting this project before you. I thank
our Math teacher for assigning us this PPT . I thank my classmates and seniors for their
help in making this project. I also thank our team-mates for their help in making this
project a grand success.
What is a Quadrilateral ?
A quadrilateral is a closed figure with four straight sides. You can make a quadrilateral by
taking (or imagining) anything straight and thin you might have handy: pens, toothpicks,
chopsticks, etc. A square is one type of a special quadrilateral.
Types Of Quadrilateral’S
Square Parallelogram Rectangle Trapezium Rhombus. They are different
shapes, yet they all have 4 sides…

square rectangle parallelogram

rhombus trapezium
SQUARE • It is a quadrilateral
having all sides equal.

• All the angles are 90

degrees.

• The diagonals are

equal bisect each
other
perpendicularly.

• The angle-sum
property is 360
degrees.
RECTANGLE • It is a 4-side polygon
having opposite sides
equal.

• Diagonals are
equal and bisect
each other.

• Angle-sum
property is 360
degrees.

• All the angles

are 90 degrees
TRAPEZIUM • In this polygon,
only one pair of
opposite sides are
equal.

• Diagonals are
unequal in
Trapezium

• No sides , angles
and diagonals are
congruent .
PARALLELOGRAM • It is a 4-sided polygon
having opposites sides
of equal length.

• Diagonals are equal

and bisect each other.
Angle-sum property is
360 degrees.

• Opposite sides are

parallel and
congruent .

• Adjacent angles are

supplementary
RHOMBUS • 2 pairs of opposite
sides are equal.

• 2 pairs of opposite
angles are equal

• Diagonals bisect
each other

• Diagonals bisects
each interior angle

• Diagonals are 90*

always
Conclusion…
Learning outcome:
By seeing this project , we can understand
the all aspects/info about quadrilaterals.
Identify the quadrilaterals properly and
their properties
i.e. , Angle-sum, exterior-angle property
etc.
Bibliography…
We have taken help from the following
sources to make this project a grand
success .IX class math's textbook ,
Google search , Wikipedia search on
quadrilaterals .
