Proposed CETP
• A CETP of 20 MLD has been proposed in the MLP.
• Treated effluent discharge shall be mixed with STP treated water and will be
sent to proposed 210 MLD Bingawan STP treatment plant 6km away.
• Sludge generated in treatment process will be disposed in secured land
provided by UPSIDC.
• The CETP funding will be applied under the Indian Footwear Leather and
Accessories Development Programme (IFLADP) of DIPP.
• The CETP shall be constructed in different modules: First a 5MLD, then
10MLD and finally another 5MLD CETP shall be implemented at site.
• A conceptual design of the CETP have been submitted to UPSIDC for
perusal and approval. Once approved, the detailed project report will be
prepared in consultation with IIT Kanpur.

Effluent collection is done by 3 different streams each 15km
long after pre-treatment:
o Soak Liquor
o Spent Chrome Liquor
o Wash Effluent

Project Progress
The land demarcation has been completed and the drawings have been
submitted.
The topographical survey of the land is complete and the drawings have been
submitted.
Revised Preliminary Proposal has been submitted to DIPP, evaluation is in
progress by NPC
A conceptual master plan for 300 acres of land has been prepared and is under
development. (attached in next slide)
The detailed engineering of the common infrastructure will be started after
UPSIDC approval.

Environmental Clearance
IL&FS Clusters has appointed Perfact Enviro solutions Pvt. Ltd. for EIA study.
EIA Consultant has completed the process of Baseline data collection for 450 acres of the land
The consultants have submitted Form-1 and Pre-feasibility for TOR.
Our proposal was dismissed in the EAC meeting on 25th June, 2018 on the grounds that the
committee member haven’t got enough time to scrutinize the reports as the proposal comes in
Ganga Basin.
Our proposal was deferred in the EAC meeting held on 26th July, 2018, as the EAC members
needed commitment from the P.S. (industries or environment) that the Jajmau tanneries will be
shifted to the Mega Leather Park.
Via minutes of meeting of 26th July, 2018 meeting MOEF&CC have seeked some details and
documents. An action plan have been submitted in consultation with perfact group and submitted
to UPSIDC for comments.
