WHAT IS COMPUTER
Personal Computers
• Cheap and easy to use. Often used as
stand-alone computers or in a network. May
be connected to large mainframe computers
within big companies.

• A byte consists of eight bits.

• A kilobyte (KB) consists of 1024 bytes.

• A megabyte (MB) consists of 1024 kilobytes.

• A gigabyte (GB) consists of 1024 megabytes.
