Chapter-2:-Brand Your Personality
(1.) Know Thyself(Yourself):-

Our Lives are shaped by our minds. We become what we

think.

The extent of our desires is circumscribed by the strength of

our will, from which follows the quality and extent of our
actions or deeds.

Knowing about self reveals one’s own strength and weakness.

(2.) Building “Personal Brand”:-

 In Organizational context, it makes sense to accept two basic

assumptions:- “Each person’s talents are unique and enduring.

 It is the identification, constant practicing and refining of these

strengths that enables one to have a lasting sense of fulfillment at
workplace.

 Example about Narayana Murty:-

 He is genius at taking innovations and transforming them into
business propositions is a strength, where as his ability to
administer and sustain the organizational growth may not be
that strong as compared to that of his other colleagues.
(3.) Self – Confidence:-

 It is the similar to self-assurance. Somewhere deep in the

heart you have faith in your strengths.

 You strongly feel that you are able and capable of taking risks.

 You feel quite sure of your abilities to take new challenges,

rather seek challenges and above all deliver.

 You carry a conviction that you have an altogether different

perspective about the given situation.
(4.) Creative:-

 They are effervescent, bubbly, chirpy and animated with lots

of ideas that only need to be encouraged by the organization.

 They create something out of nothing.

 They are passionate about what they do, believing it to be

important for the world.
(5.) Team Player:-

 Teams are built-up on the concept of alignment as distinct

from agreement.

 Alignment has the connotation of arranging a group of

scattered people by orienting them to a common awareness
of one another.

 In this context some people are more inclined than others to

see and respect other team-members and to establish some
common mental models about reality.
