HOW TO INSTALL WINDOWS 7
USING FLASH DRIVE
Introduction
Windows is traditionally installed via an installation
CD or DVD, but this isn't possible on newer computers
that don't have optical drives. Luckily, you can create an
installation drive using any USB Flash drive, as long as
it has at least 4 GB of storage. You don't even need a
Windows installation disc to make one. Once you create
the drive, you can use it to install Windows 7 on any PC.
Objective
The following the specific goal:
1. Define Operating System.
2. Enumerate the functions/features of an Operating System.
3. Identify utilities that will enhance/help/extend Operating System

Procedure /
Step by Step:
Step 1. Insert the FLASH drive into the
computer you want to install Windows 7 on.
Step 2. Reboot the computer and press the SETUP,
BIOS, or BOOT key.
Step 3. Open the BOOT menu.
Step 4. Set your pen drive as the primary boot device
Step 5. Save your changes and reboot your computer.
Step 6. Start the Windows Setup process.
Step 7. Select the "Custom Installation" when prompt
Step 8. Choose the partition that you want to
install Windows on.
Step 9. Wait while Windows installs.
Step 10. Create your user account.
Step 11. Uncheck the “Automatically activate
Windows when I’m online”.
Step 12. Select “Ask me late” Until you
decide what settings would you like.
Step 13. Set your date and time.
Step 14. Choose your network
type.
Step 15. Wait for setup to
complete.
