The Project
 Concept of optimization bundles
 Four bundles
 OB7, OB13,OB16 and OB23
 Testing CoE
Phase 1
 Existing portal was asked to be rated on:
 Access
 Usability
 Content
 Security
 Organization
 User- friendliness
 Views on other parameters as well
Phase -1 …
 Limitations found in existing portal
 Inconsistent Folder Structure across bundles
 Inappropriate and wrong content in many
pages and hence the need for updating the
contents
 No facility for managers to have their own
sites
 Folder Level Access was not available
Phase -1 …
 Navigation Path was not displayed
 Search facility allowed only for the entire portal
and was not limited to any bundle. Bundle
level search functionality was missing.
 Testing CoE had a separate webpage.
 No point of contacts for different bundles and
Testing CoE – This was needed for continuous
updates to the knowledge management portal
 Version Control for documents was not made
mandatory for all bundles

Suggestions
 Managers (onsite/offshore) should drive usage
 The awareness should be increased regarding the
portal
 Onsite usage is low so the usage should be
increased (discourage sharing documents over
email).
 Need to move all the data from internal project
servers to the portal
 Auditing should be done to ensure people upload into
XYZKM portal
