WHAT HAVE I LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM

THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THE PRODUCT?

Whilst creating our production Pursue I learnt about lots of diverse


types of technology that I had never use previously or even knew
existed. Since filming I am now conscious of how to use cameras;
replacing the battery, SD card, setting up on the tripod, setting up the
lights, and now I am also aware on how to use editing software such as
Final Cut.
EQUIPMENT USED WITHIN THE
PRODUCTION OF MY MEDIA PRODUCT..

As director of the production, during filming I worked together with the cinematographer
helping film and taking over for her during scenes she was acting in. Before this I had never
properly used a professional camera or any other type of filming equipment.

I had set up a Tripod a few times during GCSE Media so I was quite confident with using this
as it was very straightforward. A tripod is what is used for supporting a camera on during
filming so the shot looks clear and manoeuver for different angles.
MACBOOK
Before we began planning and research I had never
used a MacBook before and was unaware of how to
use it, however once this began it wasnt an issue
as it was fairly easy to use and I learnt about the
different functions etc.

Youtube

During the task I had to use YouTube regularly as I needed to


upload the Preliminary Task to the blog along the final
completed production. YouTube was extremely easy to use
and was very useful to keep track of our production online to
see if it was doing by looking at the number of views and
likes and the comments we received.
BLOGGER
Blogger was the main website needed by all members of our group as
we used to frequently upload our work on our blogs. Blogger was
really easy to use as it was simple and had no problems however at
first it was quite complicated as I had never used it before but I soon
got used to it.
Scribd
Scribd was the only website our group used to publishing our work onto our blogs,
at the start of the task I was unacquainted with this website as I had never used it
before or even heard of it, however I soon understood how to use it as it was very
simple and I was able to use it without any difficulties.

Prezi
Prezi is very similar to Microsoft Powerpoint it lets you create power-points online. I
like using Prezi as there was a range of transitions to use when making your
power-point, there was also lots of different colours and effects for the slides to
make it stand out and look eye-catching. I didnt like using this programme a lot as
I found it quite confusing and would have preferred to use Microsoft Powerpoint.
Microsoft Word
We used Word when typing up longer pieces of
paperwork such as the Script, this software was not
difficult for me to use at all as I had used it before
previously for many years.

Photoshop

Photoshop was used to make the Logo for our


production group, this was difficult to use as it was
completely new software for all members in our group.
