CO-ORDINATION OF MARKS
Internal co-ordination in a school is carried out by the KPMP.
External co-ordination for schools is carried out by KPKw.
The number of students for co-ordination of marks is based on the 5:3:2
ratio.
In co-ordinating the marks for ULBS, the tolerance level is +/- 5
If the marks awarded are outside of the tolerance level, scaling up or
scaling down should be done.
Major case in 2015:
All students got 30 marks in one of the top schools in Miri and when the
special appointed assessors by LPM came to investigate, the marks given did
not resemble and reflect the students real language ability. The school was
fined RM1500 by LPM. Teachers need to realise that students performance in
ULBS should reflect their performance in the written exams as well.
30 marks = A- and above in written exams
For 2016, KPMP need to submit a printout copy of students marks to
KPKw to be included in the report for LPM.
