POLNET
POLNET is a satellite based wide area network
for the modernization of Police Telecommunication
of the country.
Itis an amalgamation of different latest VSAT

technologies ie TDM/TDMA, SCPC/DAMA and DVBS. It is a huge network consisting of about


1000VSATs (Very Small Aperture Terminals at each
state capital, District HQrs and selected locations
of CPMFs (BSF, ITBP, CISF, CRPF, Assam Rifles,
SSB) and CPOs .

services. The service is specially
designed for public safety and security
for all including those with special needs
any time and anywhere.The dial 100
service of theMadhya Pradesh Police is
all set to go the American way.

It is also called First Response

Vehicle(FRV)
Started on Nov1 2015 in 7 districts of
M.P.
They are ;
Bhopal,Ujjain,Sagar,Rewa,Indore,
Jabalpur,Gwalior

On 26 Jan 2016,it was fully


implemented in
rest of the districts of
M.P.
800+200 FRVs currently govt. have.
Tied up with private firm Bharat Vikas
Group(BVG) for period of 5 years

FREQUENCY(VHF)
Very high frequency(VHF) is the ITU
designation for the range of radio
frequency electromagnetic waves from 30
MHz to 300 MHz, with corresponding
wavelengths of ten to one meters.
Frequencies immediately belowVHFare
denoted high frequency (HF), and the next
higher frequencies are known as ultra high
frequency (UHF).

Each set has unique ID,in case if it is hacked or
stolen,it is destroyed by deactivating its Unique ID
