BPR Implementation at Ongc

ONGC is India's largest oil and gas exploration company that produces around 69% of India's crude oil. Seeking to standardize its over 200 business processes across 500 locations, ONGC implemented SAP solutions in a 30 month project involving 13,000 users. This included integrating existing SAP finance and HR solutions with additional solutions for supplier relationship management and business intelligence. The project aimed to optimize processes, increase visibility and integrate all of ONGC's local and offshore operations on a single ERP system. Post implementation, ONGC saw benefits like improved financial and procurement processes, online access to data, and increased productivity and competitiveness through the new IT systems.
