Readiness of transmission shifting

Label all operational MW links

MW IDU, IF cable, DDF , Power cables

Complete E1 Labeling as New Tagging of IDUs

Trace all E1 cable on operation MW IDUs and note down.

Confirm Flash Card availability

At Alcatal link confirm Flash card availability

Measure IF cable length enough till New equipment.

Installation of New equipment

Grounding , Powering up. (RFC, TMC , Minishelter)

Completion of spare material before starting swap.

Gauge nuts, Screws, Cable lugs, Power molix.

If New media available for site confirm media Status before swa
p. In case of Issue concern with your BSS engineer.

Shifting from Indoor to Outdoor Equipment (RFC ,


TMC, Mini shelter)

First of All power off all MW links.

Power off Main rectifier breakers or disconnect LVD.

Remove all IF cables one by one from all IDUs


Remove all E1 Cables with extra cure from MW IDUs

Disconnect Grounding cables with IDUs


Disconnect DDF Patch Panel from MW IDU.

Shift One by one MW IDU,s to outdoor equipment as installe


d indoor.

Connect IF cables, Grounds all MW IDUs, complete power


connections.

Confirm the Power connection polarity before terminating at


DCDU
Through all E1 tributaries cables one by one as traces befor
e Dismantling of equipment

Power Connections and Powering of System

Connect two or more then Two IDUs DCDU with LVD


by pass Bus bar.
Be careful about connection polarity at Bus bar and D
CDU also
Use proper cable thimbles and Heat shrink.
Power cable connection at any point. IDU, Breaker or
Bus bar must be tighten.
In case of Loose Molix replace them with new one.
Before powering up MW IDUs Make sure all equipme
nts are properly grounded. IDUs separately also.
Power up DCDU then power up IDUs one by one.
Update to your concern engineer after completing MW
shifting.

Only for TXN systems : Always Connect DCDU with LVD Bypass bus
bar opposite to Battery connections

Precautions Required during Installation

Label every part of MW system with extra cure. In ca


se of wrong labeling outage can be prolonged
E1tracing done after tagging of IDUs

During labeling and tracing with care , to avoid syste


m outages. These work done before outage.

Power cable connections must be tighten.


Use proper size cable thimbles and heat shrink at po
wer cables.
Labels done at IDUs and at IF cables must proper.
Didnt remove them during dismantling of Equipment
Also label IF cables at Surge arrestors.

Connect IF cable with IDU and at Surge arrestor acc

In case of Extra IF cable required , fabricate IF conn


ector as per standards. In case of confusion concern
with huawei engineer
