Why mechanization is critical in
agricultural sector?

Man as a power unit is very ineffective and
inefficient.

Reasons for Mechanization
To increase the productivity per agricultural worker
To supplement the labor shortage
To complete the agricultural operations like land preparation,
planting, harvesting, threshing operation at the right time and
complete them according to schedule of planting of next crop;
To remove the drudgery of agricultural works
To increase the productivity per unit of land
Improve the quality of products through better processing and
handling. Most farm products are affected adversely by high
temperature and humidity.
