E - Mail

E-mail is a method of electronic communication that allows users to send and receive messages over the Internet. Ray Tomlinson created the first e-mail system in 1971 by developing a way to send messages to other users on the ARPANET using the "@" symbol to separate the username from the domain name. When an e-mail is sent, it does not go directly to the recipient but instead travels through servers along a pathway. E-mail messages can contain text and attachments like files and folders. Users have different e-mail folders like inbox, outbox, and spam to organize messages. For e-mail to work, an e-mail server with SMTP and POP3 protocols is required to send and receive messages
