Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC)

Glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) is a composite material made of Portland cement, fine aggregate, water, and alkali-resistant glass fibers. It can be used for exterior ornamentation, interior details, and landscape furnishings. GFRC is lighter than concrete, allows for creative architectural expression, and has weather resistance and fire resistance. However, it requires separate anchoring and may have different properties than adjacent historic materials.
