How to fully uninstall Navisworks 2013?

Fri, 2012-05-25 14:55 I accidently remove Plug in Navisworks 2013 from Remove a programme in Control Panel, and then entire Navisworks 2013 has gone. When I trying to reinstall Navisworks 2013, it showinng 2013 is already there. So I have to install 2012 in case I may need it. Some one can help me with this please?

And why Autodesk software is always confuse people when people uninstall them? I dun want to reinstall my system...

Unable to get licenced Mechanical 6 registered

Fri, 2012-05-25 13:44 I have raised the issue trying to register my copy of Mechanical 6. I have installed it numerous times since first purchased and had no issues. Now have issues as Autodesk has recognised that I have a legitimate licence but don't seem to be reacting to sending me an authorization code from my request code!

I would not think it was that difficult or time consuming. They say they can do it within an hour. well it has been two days now with now update or response!

Does anyone know how I can get some action as I need it for my work and do not want to run out of time on the usage before it shuts down.

I have a user who we can't get Revit Architecture 2012 to install. We get an error when installing the Visual C++ redistributable.

It is very very similar to this KB article: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item? siteID=123112&id=17570140&linkID=9338138 however there is no fix for this for Revit Architecture. Is there a fix for this that is not posted on the website?

That KB hotfix fixed it for a previous trial install of Revit.

The computer is Windows 7 32-bit SP1. We don't know what is causing this Visual C++ issue. It has worked on other computers.

Here is a list of Visual C++ redistribs on the computer:

cannot install service pack 2 on 2010

Fri, 2012-05-25 00:06 after updating my machine to windows 7 of course we had to reinstall inventor 2010. installation went sucessfully, but after we install service pack 2, reboot and tried to open inventor we got the message as follows:

anybody khow what's going on??? installing as administrator, SP1 was installed during initial installation from the DVD. Will appreciate your help guys! thanks.

AutoCAD stuck on 'checking licence'. Advice?

Tried opening AutoCAD 2012 the other day and it went smoothly till 'checking licence' then it froze completely.

Went and downloaded 2013 and the same issue is happening!

After searching for similar threads by other people I tried some of the 'solutions' they advised... My UAC is set the lowest possible and I'm set as the Admin on my system/ opening as Admin also. Yet it's still the same.

I'm running the program on Parallels if that makes any difference with a student licence. (I also tried the free trial and the same problem is happening).

I assume it's something on my end which is causing the problem but have no idea what! Any help or advice would be great as I just want to get using it for my work!

use student version at school (on educational version)

Thu, 2012-05-24 13:35 Our school has bought the educationnal suite 2012. Students can install for free at home the student version version. By this way, they should be able to work at home with their projects. That's one of the reasons why we chose autodesk products. But when they tried it, we get the violation message that says that student version shall not be used on a commercial version. But educationnal version is NOT a commercial one. How should we do? Students want to be able to work at home and at school with their projects.

It seems that the projectfile opens anyway i the educational version, but many things differ in the vertices, cameras, textures (we use mainly 3dsmax).

Autodesk Map 2004 activation issue

Thu, 2012-05-24 06:54 Hi all, i have a problem here.i have a customer using Autodesk Map 2004 standalone version,previously the hardware broke down, they reinstall to a new pc and they need to request for activation code.after they got their activation code, the software works only for about 3 weeks or so.Then it start to request for an activation code again, with a different request code. The same process has been done again to get the activation code, but still they just work for about 3 weeks.

Can anyone help me with this, i have no idea on how to troubleshoot this.

Download and Install Previous Revit Version

Thu, 2012-05-24 06:49 I am having trouble installing a previous version of 2011 Revit Architecture and Structure after sucessfully downloading and installing 2011 Revit MEP.

After the download when I try to install I get error warnings of corrupt files saying I should download fresh copy. When I try to install I get these error codes:

CRC failed in Revit Setup\ Revit Architecture\ x64.cab CRC failed in Revit Setup\ Architecture\ x86.cab

I have a newer version of Windows 7, when I installed the 2011 Revit MEP in compatibility with older version of window xp service pack 2. The MEP version actuallys says 2011 Revit B MEP, I do not know what the B means but do not see the same thing in the Architeture and Structure Downloads.

I downloaded the Revit Architecture a second time with the same problem.

Should I request a CD through the subsciption center? Not sure how to move forward on this.

Autocad 2011 freezes when opening

Harware Questions with regard to AutoCAD and Revit 2013

I've tried various resolutions found here on the forums but none have made a difference: License server is hosted on a Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 License file has license for AutoCAD Revit Architecture Suite 2013 and Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2013 combined as I've always done in a single license file.

From two different pc's running Win 7 x64 I get the same issue: AutoCAD 2013 runs fine with no issue Max Design 2013 gives an error [0.0.0] followed by Error 20. Below is my list of info.

Deleted the cas file in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm Theres still the following folders and files in the above directory: ASR. R5 and productInformation.pit Ping to the license server gives me IPv4 address although the server also runs IPv6 I've re-requested the license files for both The Revit Suite and Max 2013 with the same error. I've reinstalled Max Design on both pc's Start/Stop/Reread of license file done many times...

DWG TruView installation doesn't begin

Wed, 2012-05-23 19:49 Hi,

I'm trying to download DWG TruView. I click the download button and it sits there saying it's downloading but nothing ever happens. I let it run for a couple of hours yesterday and all night. Nothing. I did install the installer app that it forced me to install. Here is a screenshot:

Revisiting the issue of Multiple Office Sites

Wed, 2012-05-23 19:13 At issue is the lag time for opening drawings, plotting, inserting blocks and activating commands from tool plaettes on workstations at our remote offices. The question: How do you handle your remote offices? Do you have remote/redundant/mirrored servers at each site? Do you use custom profiles at each site? Do you store you libraries and lisp routines on servers or on the workstations?

We have 4 offices. All our cad files, libraries, Acaddoc.lisp, pgp, etc. are hosted on a server in our main office. We typically use a common profile for all office, with the support paths pointing to the same file locations on the server.

I resolved most of the issues for one remote user by installing our libraries, lisp routines and everything else onto his workstation. This meant a custom profile and customizing a set of tool palettes for his use. I do not believe this to be a good solution; it is a support nightmare.

Our inter-office connections are MPLS data circuits with T1 data connectivity (some bonded). We have Riverbed devices between the offices.

License error problem,

Wed, 2012-05-23 17:56 I encountered problem in my computer that shutdown automatically, but after I open the computer and also the AutoCAD 2012. It stop at checking license then a window " Autodesk Licensing" indicating that A License error occurred that gives me only 7 days remaining before license expired.

When I click the repair button to activate the license of the Autocad, I noticed that the Request Code I get from the Autodesk before has change, so I can't input the activation code I received from autodesk.

Can somebody help me to resolve this problem,
