Installation Instructions
Before installing Motic MC2000, please read this chapter carefully and perform setup by following the step-by-step instructions.
Preparation for Software Installation
1. 2. Ensure your USB2.0 Port PCI Card is installed. Ensure your Motic microscope is ready, and check that the Motic MC2000 cable is NOT connected to the USB2.0 port of the computer.
MC2000 Driver Installation
Before installing the Motic MC2000 Driver, please ensure that the USB2.0 Port PCI Card has been installed (refer to the next chapter, Installation of USB2.0 Port PCI Card and Driver). After installing the USB2.0 Port PCI Card, please restart the computer.
Installation of the Motic Camera Driver for Windows 2000
Click "Next".
Choose "Search for the.", and click "Next".
Select "Specify a Location", and click "Next".
Click "Browse".
Please
select:
"MC1000AndMC2000",
and click "Open" to return to the previous interface.
Click "OK".
Click "Next".
Click "Finish".
Installation of the Motic Camera Driver for Windows XP
Make sure the MC2000 device is connected to the computer. The "Find New Hardware Wizard" will then appear. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)", and click "Next".
Select the item "Include this location in the search", and then insert the CD. Click "Browse" to select the driver.
Locate the "MC1000AndMC2000" folder from the CD files, and click "OK".
Please confirm the destination path, and click "Next".
The Wizard will then search for the desired files, please wait..
Click "Continue Anyway" to continue.
Files will then be copied to your computer.
Click "Finish" to complete installation of the MC2000 driver.
Installation of the USB2.0 Port PCI Card Driver For Windows 2000
The figure on the left shows the installation location of the USB2.0 Port PCI Card, the PC1 slot, into which the contact footing of the said card is to be inserted.
Press the card down with the input sockets plate attached to the sockets panel (usually at the back) of your computer.
After installing the USB2.0 Port PCI Card, the system will search for the USB2.0 Port PCI Card automatically.
Click Next.
Choose Search for the., and click Next.
Select Specify a Location, and click Next.
Click Browse.
Please select: Nec\uPD720100 and click Open to return to the previous interface.
Click OK.
Click Next.
Click Finish.
Under WindowsXP the system will auto detect the USB 2.0 Card and install its drives.

Motic MC2000
1. Before using Motic MC2000, select MC2000Camera.exe from the Settings options.
2. Upon starting MC2000, the Exposure and White Balance operations will be carried out automatically to make the quality and color of images in the Preview window similar to those of actual images. The interface will then appear as it does on the left.
3. Through the Control panel, easily alter the quality and effects of the image shown in the preview window.
4. From the Toolbar, click the Capture button shown in the preview window.

The image captured will be saved in the current users Temp folder.
5. Click the Auto Capture button (next to the Capture button) to automatically capture a number of images. 9
6. Motic MC2000 enables you to record video. From the Toolbar, click the Video button, fill in the name and path and click OK to save the video.
Video will then start recording; click the STOP button to stop recording.
7. Motic MC2000 enables you to adjust Brightness, Contrast and Saturation. If you alter the brightness or switch specimens during observation, use Auto Exposure and White Balance to adjust the image.
8. This program also contains an ROI function. Drag the mouse in the Preview window to define a rectangle. Click the ROI button and this selected area will then appear in the Preview window. Click the ROI button again to restore the original image.

9. Motic MC2000 also provides a Real-time Image Preview function. From the Toolbar, click
to select different filters with which to either process the whole image or just the defined region.
10. Motic MC2000 has the ability to capture clear and sharp images even in situations where there is not enough light. From the Settings panel, users may also adjust many other capture settings in order to achieve the desired image quality.
