MiG-29 Superpit

Rampstart checklist To be used in Falcon 4.0 only

RAMP START: MiG-29


PRE STARTUP procedure:
1. Set Nose Wheel Brake to ON position

2. Set POWER SYSTEM SUPPLY switches to ON position 3. Set BATTERY switches for DC GEN, AC GEN, AC INV(inverter)ENG SYSTEMSFUEL PUMP, ASS, RECORD. 4. Set CABIN SUPPLY valve to OPEN position

5. Close Canopy if not closed

START UP OF ENGINES
LEFT ENGINE: (Apply keystroke ctrl-o for selecting left engine first if applicable) 6. Throttle to idle 7. Set TEST switch to CHECK left engine 8. Set second TEST switch to CHECK right engine 9. PWR SYS START switch from START position (clamped) to ENG CRANK position 10. RPM 20% 11. Throttle to 50% 12. Depress the GND START button 13. Throttle to 70% 14. If RPM is at 60% throttle back to idle RIGHT ENGINE: (Apply keystroke ctrl-o for selecting right engine if applicable) 15. Throttle to idle 16. START selector switch set to START TWO(center) 17. PWR SYS START switch from START position (clamped) to ENG CRANK position 18. RPM 20% 19. Throttle to 50% 20. Depress the GND START button 21. Throttle to 70% 22. If RPM is at 60% throttle back to idle (Apply keystroke ctrl-o for selecting both engines if applicable)

AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS
23. Turn the DAMPER to ON on the AP panel (FLCS) 24.Set STORES switch from INTERNAL to XTERNAL 25. Set the RETARD switch to COOP RETARD

AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS
26. Set DED to ON (shift-1 and press OFF to ON)

27. Set Beacon # 1 to ON 28. Turn selector to enable GPS 29. Set Beacon # 2 to ON to pre align navigation systems

30. Turn ON HUD brightness

ARMAMENT AND RADAR: 31. Set Air Ground switch to Air on the missile control panel 32. Set SAFE/ARMED switch to ARMED on the missile control panel 33. Set Radar control panel switch from OFF to RDR UNIT position 34. Set the ILLUM switch from OFF to DUMMY position on RDR control panel (center position)

COUNTERMEASURES: 35. Set RWR to ON with TEST switch 36. Set TWF (Track While Flyby) switch to RHS position

37. Set CAJ to AJ position 38. Set Chaff power to ON 39. Set Flares power to ON 40. PROGRAM according to threats 41. Select MODE according to threats

PREPARE TO TAXI 42. Set EJECTION SEAT to ARM (To arm ejectionseat turn seat handles upwards)

43. Set Taxi/landing lights switch to TAXI

PREPARE TO TAXI CONTINUED 44. Depress the WSM LOCKON PF button on the right throttle to enable nose wheel steering for large steering angles.

INITIATE TAXI AND TAKE OFF 45. Set FLAPS down to take off position (left/rightclick)

46. Press Beacon #3 to ON ,aligning the navigation system

47. Set the ILLUM switch from DUMMY to ILLUM position on the RDR control panel (up position)

48. Set Nose Wheel Brake to OFF position

49. Taxi to runway and take off according to ATC commands
