1. If (যদি)+ Present Indefinite-- A. If you toil hard, you can prosper in life.
s+shall/will/can/must/should+ verb হবে B. You must not think to do this if you are honest
2. If+ Present indefinite-- Present Indefinite A. If ice is heated at 100 degree celcius, it vapours.
B. Candle melts if it gets in touch with fire.
3. If+ Past indefinite-- s+would/could+verb If I were you, I would not surrender to them.
4. If+ past perfect-- s+ would have/could have/might If you had realized from the beginning, you would not
have/should have+v3 have made the same mistake.
5. Had(যদি)+ Sub+ V3-- s+ would have/could Had Karim mentioned me earlier, I would have told
have/might have/should have+v3 him in detail.
6. Had+ Sub+ Noun-- s+would/could+verb Had I any power, I would reverse this.
7.......... lest (তা না হবে) + subject+ A. Be proactive lest you might suffer in the long run.
should/might+verb B. Exercise regularly lest you might fail to have a
sound health.
8. Present indefinite/Perfect-- since-- past Indefinite It has been more than fifty years since we got our
অথো, independence.
Past indefinite-- since-- Past perfect
9. Present-- as if/as though-- past অথো, A. The man feigned as if he got hurt.
Past-- as if/as though-- past perfect B. The woman pretended as though she had done
nothing.
10. It is/was+ high time+ s+v2/s+had+v3 It is high time we took action against corruption.
11. It is high time for+ subject+ to + verb We have only three months ahead of HSC exam. It is
high for us to study sincerely.
12. No sooner had....than+s+v2 অথো, A. No sooner had the General ordered the army to
deploy than they took their position.
Scarcely had...when+s+v2 B. Hardly had we reached the peak when the sun set.
Hardly had...when+s=v2
13. as/since-কারবে, Because- কারে, Mother plays a vital role in shaping the character of the
though/although-যদিও, but/yet- দকন্তু এগুবো অথ থ children because she usually maintains a family.

Continuous Tense এ করবত হবে।
17. োকযটটবত যদি with a view to, get/be used to, The sailors were on the coastal area with a view
accustomed to ইতযাদি যযাবে আবস তাহবে উত্তর to finding some dried foods.
করার সমে to এর পর V+ing হবে।
18. Future indefinite-when/after-present perfect I shall pay a visit to your home after I have finished my
first semester.

22. দনম্নদেদখত Phrase গুবোর অথ েু থ বে উত্তর করবত Asif got the job despite having no qualification
হবে-
কারবে- beacuse of/owing to/due to/ on account of
পদরেবতথ- in lieu of, in stead of
সবেও- Despite/in spite of
