Low Cost Wireless Sensor Network In-Field Operation Monitoring of Ac Motor

This document summarizes a student project that developed a low-cost wireless sensor network to monitor the in-field operation of AC motors. A control section uses a microcontroller and Zigbee transceiver to wirelessly collect sensor data from the field section connected to an AC motor. The field section uses thermistors and an ADC to measure motor temperature, and an IGBT driver circuit controls the motor. The project aims to wirelessly monitor AC motors to reduce maintenance costs. It presents the system design, hardware components, software programs, advantages, and applications of the wireless sensor network.
