Recycled material is waste which is used as raw material in the product manufacturing process as
replacement for the original raw material.

Recycled materials fall into two categories :


• Pre consumer : recycle product yang materialnya belum sampai ke end-consumen
• Post consumer : recycle product yang materialnya sudah sampai ke end-consumen

• Material collection : bagian yang mengumpulkan waste tanpa adanya


basic handling (pengepul).
• Materi concentration : bagian yang membuat atau mengelompokkan waste”
yang ada, di mana waste tersebut diberi basic handling
berupa screening, crushing, washing, dll.
• Materi recycling : bagian yang memproses material waste tadi menjadi
barang/product recycle. Terdiri dari pre consumer
material dan post consumer material.

Doesn’t Mean that by having GRS, client is automatically certified RCS standard,

➢ Validity of Certificate

The cycle of certification is 1 year.


Therefore, every year there is an annual registration, with updated
System plan informed, and annual fee applies to perform surveillance
or Announced audit.
➢ Non-Conformity

Major NC : Timeframe of corrective action is 30 days from the onsite audit


Minor NC : Timeframe of corrective action is 60 days from the onsite audit

Note :
if there is no NC, certification decisions will be made within 60 days of the audit.
➢ Transaction Certificate (TC)

Transaction Certificate (TC) is a standard certificate is used to transfer


ownership of the certified products certified company to another
company (certificate for trade transactions inform claimed the weight
of products sold).
Documents required to apply TC :
• Invoice
• Packing list
• Bill of lading / AWB / transport document
• Mass Balance calculation
• Incoming TC from supplier
There are 2 type of TC based on the shipment as below :

Standard TC (single / per shipment)


TC that covers the information for single shipments only. This TC is prepared
based on 1 invoice and 1 shipment.
For the first 10 TC given free. But for TC to 11 and beyond will be charged at
25$ per single TC.

Multiple TC (multiple shipment)


TC that covers the information of multiple shipments. this TC is prepared
based on several invoices + several shipments (maximum 100 shipment in 1
TC). TC application is allowed with maximum 6 months from the date of first
shipment.
There is no free TC. the cost charged is = 25$ + (6$ x ∑ shipment)
➢ Logo Application
When the logo is used in “on product” or “off product”, the client shall
submit the application for label release then reviewed and approved by
certifier.
➢ On product : hang tag, care label
➢ Off product : marketing purpose, advertisement
Only products that are registered (certified) can apply the logo and
label.
