Lesson
I will take some popsicle sticks
(Teacher will get 5 popsicles sticks to the class)
Lets count how many popsicles sticks I have

Teacher and Students: 1….2….3….4….5….

How many popsicles sticks do I have?

Students: Five!

Teacher: Very good class! I can see that you practice very
well on your counting.

(The teacher will get 5 more popsicles sticks)

Teacher: Let’s count them again

Teacher and Students: 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10


And now we have 10 popsicles sticks

Teacher: Very good class now lets proceed!

C. Presenting Teacher: How many popsicles sticks do we have if we remove


examples or 5 popsicles sticks? Let’s use our fingers to count them

Teacher we will only have 5 popsicles sticks!
