Jamal tells Bibi to get down, and she runs out of there, leaving Jamal to

up. He ASKED them directly to give their ball back. With all his might, he

get his ball. He finds out that Bibi stepped on a landmine.

the landmine. Bibi turns pale telling Jamal that she loves him. Bibi tells
Jamal that she stepped on the Landmine because she saw something
related to a Bird Migration project. Jamal realizes that the mine is new,
which is good because bomb experts know which one to snip. Jamal says
this Bibi: “Never Give up, even when things are looking hopeless. With
luck, when Bibi steps out of the land mine, it does not explode. This

limbs. Yusuf does not have legs, so Bibi glances apologetically at Yusuf.

Nasser thinks that the three kicked the ball and cracked the window. Jamal
tries to prove him wrong by kicking the ball, and he cracks another

going to tell Mum, but he also thought that he was going to ask mom for
help with yelling. Bibi punches Jamal in the arm, saying that she is sorry
for what happened and causing so much trouble. Bibi tells Jamal that he
could have improved with practice. Jamal was almost going to tickle Bibi,
but then she was right. He realized with his own way of thinking that his
ancestors (Dad’s side) became desert warriors by lots of practice from
becoming a baker. Jamal’s dad and mom came in. They told him and Bibi
that they loved him very much, and Jamal and Bibi were relieved. Dad said
that they must move out of Afghanistan because someone snitched on the
