INTRODUCTION & BACKGROUND

The Modernization of Command Area Development and Water


Management (M-CADWM) is a newly launched sub-scheme under
PMKSY, approved by the Government of India for implementation in
Government of India 2025–26 as pilot projects with an outlay of ₹1600 crore. From April
Ministry of Jal Shakthi 2026, M-CADWM will scale up as a National Program.

River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation make it more integrated, efficient, sustainable, and inclusive,
