Many people dream of becoming famous, but fame has a price.
Celebrities enjoy money, travel, and luxury, but they often lose their
privacy. Paparazzi follow them, and their personal lives are in the news.
Some celebrities enjoy the attention. Others feel stressed or lonely.
Fame can be exciting, but also difficult.

Comprehension Questions:

1. What are some benefits of being a celebrity?

2. What problems do celebrities face?

3. Would you like to be famous? Why or why not?


Speaking – Celebrity Interview Roleplay
Instructions: In pairs, one student is a celebrity, the other is a journalist. Ask
and answer questions like:

● What do you like most about being famous?

● What’s your daily routine?

● Do you enjoy meeting fans?

● What’s a challenge in your career?
