1.Given x(n) = n+1; 0≤ n ≤ 9 and h(n) = δ(n) + 2δ(n - 1) + 3δ(n- 2).Determine output y(n) of
LTI system using overlap Add method. Use 6-point circular convolution

2. Compute N-Point DFT of x(n) for N = 4, where,


X(n) = {1/3; for O<n<2 or 0; otherwise}, draw magntidue and phase spectra

3. Determine 4-point DFT of x(n) = { 0, 1, 2, 3}. Hence verify the result by taking IDFT
using linear transformation

4. Find the output of the LTI system whose impulse response, h(n) =
{1, 1, 1} and input signal, x(n) = {3, -1, 0, 1, 3, 2, 0, 1, 2, ............ }
using overlap add method. Use block length, N = 5

5. Determine 8 point DFT of sequence x(n) = { 1, 1, 1, 1}. Draw itsmagnitude and

a.Compute the 6 point DFT of the sequence x(n)

Module-2

1. The first 5 points of 8 points DFT of a real valued sequence is given by x(k) = {0, 2+j2, -
j4, 2 -j2, 0}. Determine the remaining points and find the sequence of x(n) using, IDIF-FFT
algorithm

2. Compute 8-pt. DFT of sequence , x(n) = {0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 0, 0, 0, 0}.Using in the place
radix-2 DIT algorithm.
3. Develop DIF-FFT algorithm for N = 8. Using the resulting signal flowgraph compute
the 8-point DFT of the sequence , x(n) = sin
Sin(pi/2 𝑛), 0≤ n ≤ 7

4. First five points of eight point DFT of a real valued sequence is given by, x(k) = {0, 2+j2,
-j4, 2-j2, 0}. Determine the remaining points. Hence find the sequence x(n) using DIF-
FFT algorithm.

5. Using DIT-FFT algorithm determine X(k) for x(n) = {1, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0, 0,0}.

6. Determine circular convolution of x(n) = {1, 2, 3, 4} and h(n) = {1, 1, 1, 1} using FFT
algorithm. Use Radix-2 DIF-FFT method to find DFTs and DIT-FFT to determine inverse
DFT

Module-3,4,5

1. Design a Butterworth filter using bilinear transformation for thefollowing


specification:
0.8 ≤ | 𝐻(ejw )| ≤ 1; 0 ≤ w ≤ 0.2π
| 𝐻(ejw )| ≤ 0.2; 0.6 ≤ w ≤ π

2. Design a lowpass Chebyshev-I filter that will operate on the sampled data such that
the cut-off frequency 200Hz (1dB acceptable ripple) and at 400Hz attenuation is at least
20dB with monotonic shape past 200Hz. (Take T = 1/2000 Sec)

3. Determine H(Z) of lowest order Butterworth filter that will meet the following
specification:
a. 1dB ripple in passband; 0≤ w ≤ 0.15π rad.
b. At least 20dB attenuation in stopband; 0.45π≤ w ≤ π rad Use bilinear transformation for
T=1sec.

4. Design a low pas Chebyshev filter the following specification:


i) Acceptable passband ripple of 2dB.
ii) Cutoff frequency of 40 rad/sec.
Stop band attenuation of 20 dB or more at 52 rad/sec.

5. Design a IIR filter that when used in Æ − 𝐻(𝑧) − 𝐷 structure will satisfy
𝐷 Æ
the following equivalent analog specifications:
i)Low pass filter with -1 dB cutoff at 100π rad/sec.
ii)Stop band attenuation of 30dB or greater at 1000π rad/sec
iii)Monotonic pass and stop band.
Sampling rate = 2000 samples/sec. Use bilinear transformation.

6. Determine H(z) using impulse invariant transformation; given Ha(s) =

7. The frequency response of the linear phase FIR filter is given by


H(ejw) = ej3w[2+1.8cos3w + 1.2cos2w + 0.5cosw]. Find the impulse response
sequence of the filter

8. Deduce the equation for the frequency spectrum for rectangular window sequence

9. The frequency response of the filter is given by, H(ejw) = jw; -π≤ w ≤ π. Design the filter,
using a rectangular window function. Take N=7

10. A FIR filter is given by

11.Design a symmetric FIR lowpass filter whose desired frequency response is given below
