b. Awareness and Understanding the Vision and Mission of your School
What school facilities have I visited In what ways are these facilities helpful
and utilized? in teaching-learning process?
Classrooms are the most important
facilities in a school. It is where most of
the teaching-learning process occur and
help not just the students but also the
teachers to mold themselves to be a
better educator and be comfortable in
the learning environment. It helps in
managing the activities that were really
supposed to be done indoors and create
a safe environment for the students.
The office of the principal is where, we,
the interns were always instructed by the
principal himself by the things he wanted
us to do while we have free or vacant
time. When our principal retired, officers
from the Division in Alaminos, City came
as our OIC and we also learned a lot from
them. They oriented us on how to be
more effective inside the classroom, in
how cleanliness affects the learning
environment of the students, and how to
handle their very diverse behaviours
because they also observed how wild the
students can be specially that we only
have one section per grade in the
intermediate level of Cayucay
Elementary School. They saw with their
own eyes how challenging to manage a
classroom with forty-plus students..
The teachers of Cayucay Elementary
School mainly stay at the faculty
because they are departmentalized here
and the eight subjects of the
3
intermediate levels were handled by
different teachers. The faculty is where
we were always oriented by our
cooperating teachers, gives feedbacks
after their observation of our teaching
time, and briefs us on the things we have
to improve, gave constructive criticisms
and commended the great teaching
strategies that we have used. The faculty
also serves as the place where I always
reported to my CT the positive things
that I have observed with the students
that I handle and most importantly when
things are getting serious like there are a
lot of fights happening during my
discussion, or when some students
show disrespect to me, as my class in
Grade six were dominated by males, I
always make sure to report it to my
cooperating teacher so he would be
aware and make proper actions to his
advisory.
The first time I visited the school clinic of
our school was the very first week of my
teaching journey here in Cayucay
Elementary School. I still remember
when I was enthusiastically discussing
our topic in Mathematics at 1:00 pm in
the afternoon that time, when suddenly I
heard someone gasping for air loudly
and was hardly breathing, that was when
I found out I have a student who has
asthma. I immediately called the teacher
who was in charge in our school clinic
and took the student there. I was kind of
worried that time because it was a first
for me to witness someone having an
asthma attack so I was very grateful the
teacher came in quickly and help me
4
assess the situation. The clinic was a
very helpful facility in the school
specifically in terms of health as we are
in the elementary department so the
young students easily get sick and
experiences a lot of pains. It served as
their safe space whenever they feel
something wrong while learning in the
school.
5. School Canteen The school canteen was also one of the
major facilities in the school as it was
responsible for the food intake of the
teaching and non-teaching staffs of
Cayucay Elemantary, specialy for our
young learners. They always make sure
the food they served was healthy and
clean. Health foods are very important in
the teaching and learning process as it is
the source of our strength in teaching
and learning the whole day and week so
it is essential to be cautious in our food
and be sure what we are eating are in
line with our health.
c. Ways on How I Can Help the School Realize its Vision
DepEd SCHOOL VISION
To protect and promote the right of every Filipino to
quality, equitable, culture-based, and complete basic
education where: Students learn in a child-friendly,
gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment.
Teachers facilitate learning and constantly nurture
every learner.
How can I realize the Vision?
To train kids to be
socially responsible,
To attain the highest To help students fulfill productive, ethical, 5
levels of academic their potential and grow creative, and
success for all students compassionate
individuals
d. School Personnel and their Function
Who are the important school Full name Why do I have to be familiar
personnel that I have to know with them?
and remember?
1. Cooperating Teacher Roland A. Bautista First and foremost, that I have
to be familiar with in the
school is my cooperating
teacher because he is the
one who guides me in my
over-all teaching internship
journey. Whenever I have
problems specially about
managing the learner’s
behavior, I always ask
guidance from him.
2. Master Teacher Alphie Z. Dauplo Being familiar with him is a
must as he leads the teachers
in the school almost all the
time as the principal was not
always around and already
retired last first week of May
so he was the busiest person
in the school. The teachers
always consulted their every
decision to him and the final
say was always from him.
After a while, different OIC
from the division came to our
school every week.

3. The teacher in-charge in the Areanne Zuzeth She is the teacher in-charge
school clinic Alvarez in the school clinic and every
day, there were a lot of
students feeling sick and
feeling a lot of pains so I have
to be familiar with her to ask
for advices and to be aware
on how I can assess every
situations first before taking
the students in the clinic.
4. OIC Benedicta Santos She is currently the officer-in-
charge to our school since
last week and I am grateful
she is very approachable and
kind. She always guides us in
everything we do specially
her office is just beside where
we, the interns are staying.
We need to be familiar with
her because she is now the
main decision-maker in the
school and even the one who
made us extended for one
more week.
5. Canteen Personnel Clarivel Malanum She is the head in our school
canteen and I have to be
familiar with her because of
course, she is the one being
responsible with our foods
and snacks.
6. PTA President Orlan Balbin He is the one responsible for
every manpower in our school
and I have to commend how
responsible he is as a person.
He is the very first person
who welcomed us outside the
principal’s office when we first
arrived at Cayucay ES and up
7
until now he was still very
hospitable and kind.
7. School Utility Angelito Veloria He is responsible for the
cleanliness of our school and
he was very friendly and
social too.
8. Grade 4 Adviser Rosebel Dela Cruz She is the adviser of Grade 4
whom I was teaching too
besides Grade 6, my
cooperating teacher’s
advisory class. I have to be
familiar with her because her
students were the most
challenging learners to handle
at first. They are 41 in total
and were very chaotic even
the teachers know how hard it
is to teach them. So they
advised us to have strong
personality when teaching in
the fourth grade.
What are my reflections? (Learning/insights/connections)
What is my impression about my second home in post pandemic setting?
After the pandemic, I was happy we were able to be deployed in a real-life setting of
teaching internship. When I arrived at the school where I was assigned, I honestly don’t
know what to think and to expect, all I could think about is for this journey to be
memorable and joyful. Upon entering the school grounds, I felt the sudden rush in my
blood, the eagerness to learn a lot from that school and to overcome a lot of my fears. I
already imagined myself being a real teacher and is ready to be one.
My very first impression about my second home, the Cayucay Elementary School was
that all the people there was warm and positive as we were welcomed with a lot of
positivity from the Master Teacher himself as the principal were not around that time. Up
until now they are still the same as how they treated us the first time we arrived. They
8
always make sure we were okay and feeling alright as the students there was quite very
challenging because they only have one section per grade in the intermediate level so
managing them was really tough. We were really grateful our Cooperating Teachers was
very hands-on in guiding us and not letting us just be on our own.
What are my evidences? (Photo with captions/documents/records etc.)
