Ejoin Device Remote Access
Configuration Guide
Overview
This guide provides a step-by-step approach to enabling remote access to Ejoin
devices using port forwarding and VPS hosting. Whether you need to monitor and
manage devices from outside your local network or ensure stable remote
connectivity, this document will help you configure the necessary settings.
The guide includes:
√ Configuring port forwarding on your router
√ Setting up Dynamic DNS (DDNS) for networks with changing IPs
√ Using VPS hosting as an alternative remote access solution

①Steps to Enable Port Forwarding for Ejoin Devices
1. Obtain the Local IP of the Ejoin Device
Locate the local IP address of your Ejoin device (e.g., 192.168.2.206).
2. Access the Router's Management Interface
a. Open a web browser and enter your router’s gateway IP (commonly
192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
b. Log in with administrator credentials.
3. Find the "Port Forwarding" or "Virtual Server" Settings
○ Navigate to the port forwarding section in your router’s settings
(location varies by router model).
4. Add a Port Forwarding Rule
a. Local IP (Internal IP): Enter the Ejoin device’s local IP (e.g., 192.168.2.206).
b. External Port: Choose an available port for public access (e.g., 8080).
c. Internal Port: Enter the Ejoin device’s web access port (80 ).
d. Protocol: Select TCP.
e. Save the settings.
5. Save and Restart the Router
○ Ensure the port is open by using a port testing tool to verify
accessibility.
6. Access the Ejoin Device via Public IP
a. Find your public IP at WhatIsMyIP.
b. Open a browser and enter: http://<your-public-IP>:8080.
②Optional: Using DDNS for Dynamic IP Addresses
If your ISP assigns a dynamic public IP, use DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name
System) to maintain a fixed domain name for remote access.
1. Register for a DDNS Service
a. Choose a DDNS provider (e.g., No-IP, DynDNS, DuckDNS, or PeanutHull).
b. Create a hostname (e.g., myejoin.ddns.net).
2. Configure DDNS on Your Router
a. Most routers support DDNS; locate the DDNS settings in your router.
b. Enter your DDNS provider credentials.
c. Enable automatic updates to keep the hostname linked to your changing
public IP.
3. Access the Ejoin Device via DDNS
a. Instead of using your changing public IP, access the device using
http://myejoin.ddns.net:8080.
This setup ensures reliable remote access to your Ejoin device, even if your public IP
changes frequently.
If you have more questions, suggest you consult your router's provider for details.
③Alternative way via VPS to get remote link
If you're unable to enable port forwarding, we offer an alternative solution using a
VPS to establish a remote access link. Please check the link below for more details.
