Unit 4 Test: Transcript

Unit 4, exercises 11 and 12

Ben: Hi, Maria. What are you doing here?

Maria: Oh, hi Ben. I’m shopping for clothes. I’m looking for an outfit to wear to a party. And you?
Ben: I’m working here during the summer holidays.
Maria: Really? Great! This is my favourite clothes shop. Can you help me?
Ben: Yes. What’s your favourite colour?
Maria: My favourite colour? Hmm, it’s yellow... Well, I have two: yellow and green.
Ben: Oh… that’s interesting.
Maria: Why?
Ben: Well, a person’s favourite colour can tell us a lot about their personality. You like yellow, which
means you like learning and school… That is true. You are really good at school! And you do love
learning. And look, you are wearing a yellow shirt today!
Maria: That’s true! And green?
Ben: Green means you are a calm and quiet person.
Maria: But I’m not shy!
Ben: Not shy. A calm and relaxed person. Now, what about this dress?
Maria: Hmm... I don’t know... Oh, look, it’s Jessica from school. I like her dress! It is yellow and flowery.
Oh, and I love her dark green jacket!
Ben: Oh, yes, but she isn’t wearing a dress from this shop. But what about that one? It’s similar. Look,
it’s flowery and green, your other favourite colour!
Maria: What about the jacket Jessica is wearing?
Ben: Errr... She’s not wearing a jacket from this shop either. What about this light green jacket?
Maria: I don’t know, Ben.
Ben: OK, then what about wearing a different outfit? See that girl over there? She’s wearing a tartan
skirt and a spotty, red T-shirt.
Maria: Yes! I love that outfit!
Ben: Great! She is wearing clothes from this shop! OK, next. You need accessories. What about these
high-heeled shoes? We have them in blue, red and black.
Maria: I love the red shoes! You’re so good at this, Ben. OK, so I’m buying my favourite clothes then… the
tartan skirt…
Ben: And the T-shirt!
Maria: Oh, yes. And my favourite accessories, the high-heeled shoes.
Ben: Great! That’s £90.95, please.
Maria: Of course! Thank you so much, Ben… Ben?
Ben: Yes, yes, Maria. Sorry, I can’t talk anymore, I’m helping another person now. Bye!… Oh, hello Mrs
Smithson. Of course I can help you. Now, what’s your favourite colour?
