Company Background
Lenovo Group Limited is a Chinese multinational technology firm
with headquarters in Beijing, China and Morrisville, North Carolina,
United States.

It sells personal computers, tablet computers, smartphones,

workstations, servers, electronic storage devices, IT management
software and smart televisions.

In 2012 Lenovo was the world's second- largest personal

computer vendor by unit sales. It markets the ThinkPad line of
notebook computers and the Think Centre line of desktops.

Lenovo has operations in more than 60 countries and sells its

products in around 160 countries. It came about as the result of the
merger of two of the most storied companies in technology and
business: Legend Holdings in China and IBM's Personal Computing
Division in the United States.

The merger was heralded as a watershed event in global

business with the potential for integrating two disparate cultures,
languages, processes and markets. As a result, Lenovo embodies the
unique market possibilities in combining the best of East and West --
joining North American and China-based technology players in the
creation of a unified global PC leader with growing market positions in
developed and emerging markets alike.
v
Industrial Training Experience
Knowing that I will be having my internship in the Lenovo
(Pondicherry), I was excited of having the opportunity to learn new
skills and knowledge that were not taught in the textbook.

At the same time, I was also afraid that I could not cope with the
tasks given and could not mix well with my colleagues, because it
would be my first time working in an office like environment, believing it
would be stressful and strict.

However, things went unexpected when I found out that all the
colleagues were friendly and the working environment was very
conducive.

v
i
Conclusion
My industrial training has given me a chance to learn and master
lots of valuable knowledge and experience, which gave me a strong
foundation in building a bright and successful career in the future.
Despite of all the hardships and difficulties I have faced during fifteen
days of industrial training, they have proven to be the most useful
challenges that I have endured so that I can be a much better
employee in the Electronics and computer industry.
