The crane shall be configured to Config-1 as described in Section A.iii. The crane shall be Step 1 positioned as shown in the dwg 11-066002. The radius and configurations shall follow the drawing.
Step 2
The area shall be prepared to withstand the load prior to the placement of the crane. Rigging tackles shall be attached to the crane. The outriggers of the crane shall be fully extended prior to the lifting of the load. The operator and Rigger-1
Step 3 shall check this before the lifting commences. The trailer shall be brought near to the crane and shall be stopped as instructed by the rigger-1. The rigger-1 is responsible to maintain the initial lifting radius as per the engineering study. The lifting end of the rigging gears shall be connected to the lifting trunnions of the cargo. The Rigger-1 shall Step 5 consistently check the position of the hook block and shall confirm that it is in the center of the load, above the CoG. Once the lifting gears are connected to the load securely, a final check up shall be performed by the rigger-1 Step 6 as well as the riggers to ensure that the connections are secure. The load shall be freed from the trailer when the Rigger-1 advices to do so. The Rigger-1 shall deliver the signal to lift the load and the lift shall be paused once the load is lifted to around Step 7 100mm from the trailer, in order to check the stability of the load, the rigging gears and the crane. Once the stability of the above are checked the crane shall lift the load further to clear the height of the Step 8 foundation edge or any hindrances.
