It is one of the combinations of software computer program by which user can solve all kinds of official problems
according to requirements. It is one of the group software computer program by which user can do all kinds of
official works according to requirements. It is specially made of solving official problems.

Introduction to the ms-word
It is one of the complete word processing programs of ms -office package which user can create and design all
kinds of working activities according to requirement or user choice.
It is big and powerful word-processing program of ms- office group by ms-word program user can create and
design different types of word processing tasks like as letter, news letter, memos, thesis, catalog, Course of study,
syllabus, question paper, answer sheets, identity card, visiting card, certificates, invitation card, logo different
types of book and dictionary etc are in the very attractive layout.
It provides great facilities to check spelling errors as well as grammatical errors according to computer's
dictionary. It provides different more tools and techniques through which user can easily design complex types of

word processing activities according to requirements. It is designed and developed by Microsoft Corporation at
USA .it's extension name is .Docx (Documents) nowadays; it is most common and user friendly all over the world.
# How to open ms-word program?
1. click on start button
2. click on All program
3. Select Microsoft office and click on ms -word program. or
4. click on start button
5. choose run command
6. now type WinWord and click on ok button

Title Bar:- It is one of the located at top of the screen .it display the name of the current running program and
also display the file name.
Close button:-This button is used to close the running the program.
Restore button:- It is used restored or minimize the current running program.
Minimize button:- This button is used to minimize the running program of the taskbar .
Menu:- It contains list of menu which user can display are the command of the menu.
Office button:- The Microsoft office button performs many of the function that were located in the file menu of
older version of word this button also you to create new documents, open existing document ,save or save as ,
send through email or fax publish or close .
Standard tools bar: - By using this tools bar user can format and design text of document according to
requirement.
Rulers: - It is one of the measurement units through which user's measures object or document with a file
Cursor: - It is a just like your pen pointer it determines the position from where you want to write.
Virtual scroll bar:- This tools bar is used to display all the hidden documents from the top to button ,button to
top.
Horizontal scroll bar:- It is used to display the hidden document from left to right ,right to left .
Status bar:- It is used to display current status of the ms-word program .
# File menu (Alt+ N)
New (Ctrl +N):- This command is used to create a new blank file and document in the ms -word.

Open (Ctrl+ o):-This command is used to open and existing file from different location.
Save (Ctrl+ s):-This command is used to save all the new blank document or object with any file name in your
wanted location.
Save as (F12):-This command is used to save both document or objects (save/unsaved) with another file name in
your different location.
Print (Ctrl+ P):-This command is used to one or more hardcopy result on the paper according to requirement and
display real or actual size at the document that print on the paper.
Prepare:-This command is used to lock or unlock document at active file by using password display complete
information about active file as file name, location ,size type, created date and time ,numbers of page ,
paragraphs line ,words , character and character with space also .
Send:-This command is used to send documents of current file on the electronic mail according to given e-mail
address.
Close:- It is used to safely close the active file .
Word option:-This command is used to change the grammatical ms -word program like as ruler measurement,
display, font setting, display, hidden, boundary, non-printing, check spelling & grammar, auto save, recover which
you like .
Undo: - This command is used to restore or recovery all the previous activities of the sixteen steps back before
the saving.
Redo: - it is used to perform opposite action of undo command.
Exit word: - This command is used to else the ms-word program.

font(ctrl+ d):-This command is used to change font name, font size , style , text color ,underline, special effect like
as bold, italic, underline, strike through sub-script ,superscript ,change ,case etc.

Underline: - ctrl+ U
Word only underline: - ctrl+ shift+ W
Word double underline -ctrl+ shift+ D

Paragraph: - This command is used to set different types of bullet and numbering style at the beginning of
paragraph increase or decrease space between lines left indent as right indent choose different types of
alignment for the text or document .
There are four types of alignment.

Style:-This command is used to apply and change selected text and documents in different pre-designable style
which you like.

This command is used to find any document replace old text with new text go on the required page, paragraph,
line number, select any text or object according to requirements.

This sub-command are used to choose different types of pre-designable cover page style from the simple list
insert a new blank page and also insert a page break from the cursor position.
Table: it is one of the combinations of rows and column of collection of cells by using this command user can
create and insert table automatically or manually, insert one or more row new blank rows, columns cells delete
one or more selected row or columns cells including records.
