How to update Z5 software

1. Log in software (operating system) under Username: service, password: mar@zybek. If you have
logged in with other username, you can log out in “Management” interface then log in with “service”
username again.

2. Copy the update file “update_vk.tar.gz” we sent to you and save it in root path of a USB flash disk
as following picture, no need unzip. The USB flash disk format should be FAT32 as the
following picture. If the format is NTFS, it cannot be recognized. And don`t change the file name, or
the file cannot be recognized.

3. Insert the USB flash disk to one of USB port.


4. Enter “Management” => “Status” => “Version” interface. Then you will see “Upgrade” button.

5. Click “Upgrade” button. Then instrument will try to recognize update file. If the instrument give notice
“No Upgrade Package” like following picture. Please wait a moment, it might need some time to
recognize the update file. After some time, if it doesn’t work, please try to reconnect the USB flash
disk or replace a new USB flash disk for checking.

6. After the update file has been recognized, then instrument will prepare for upgrading.

7. Then we will enter upgrading interface. No need to do any selection, just click “Update” button on this
interface.

8. Then the instrument will do upgrading automatically. When finish the software upgrade, restart the
analyzer to execute the new software.
