INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATE


1. Figure 1 shows a block diagram of an IP PABX network. You are required to perform
the following tasks:
TASK 1: Verify you have all the equipment to perform the tasks.
TASK 2: Connect the Ethernet cable from the network switch to the IP phone’s
Ethernet port.
TASK 3: Connect the Ethernet cable from the network switch to a network with
internet access and power it ON.
TASK 4: Obtain the phone’s IP address. Check the phone’s display or menu to find
the assigned IP address. The IP phone should automatically obtain an IP
address via DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).
TASK 5: Using a computer connected to the same network as the PoE switch,
access the Phone’s Web Interface and log in using the default credentials.
